In reading Dr. Scott Mcleod's post, I didn't get it the first time. Why was he telling you don't teach your kids this stuff, when they needed to know this stuff? But, then I got it, he was using sarcasm to get his point across.
Dr. Mcleod say's a lot that teacher's must listen to. Teacher's can not fear teaching technology and must learn technology in order to teach it. If we do not teach our children technology, we would be doing them an injustice, that will hold them back in the world. Student's should be taught to use technology respectively and it should be part of a parents and teacher's job to monitor the site's that they are using.
A lot of people are uneducated about technology, But, we must strive to learn about technology and became comfortable with using it. There is no going back, technology is the way of the future.
